Right now, our Rescue Team is mobilizing to rescue approximately 30 dogs from Central Texas as part of our emergency response to the region’s devastating flooding.

These dogs and puppies were already awaiting adoption, and their transport from the region will make critical space for animals displaced by the flooding. Some were pulled from area shelters by a dedicated rescuer who lost everything in the storm, and others — including an Aussie mom and her puppies — were surrendered from the outskirts of the flood zone, rescued from heartbreaking conditions.

We continue to be in close communication with our longtime partners at Rescue the Animals, SPCA in Abilene, TX, and are coordinating a lifesaving transport scheduled to arrive at our no-kill campus the week of July 21.

This is just the beginning. As always, we are committed to helping for the long haul, taking in vulnerable animals, working with partners on the ground to distribute supplies, and freeing up space so shelters can assist families desperate to reunite with lost pets.

But we can’t do it alone. Your support is urgently needed. Your donation right now will help cover the cost of this rescue mission and provide vital medical care, shelter and rehabilitation for animals who have already been through so much. Please give now to support our Emergency Rescue efforts; and we promise to do all we can, for as long as it takes.

To everyone impacted by this crisis: You are in our hearts. We are committed to doing our part as recovery efforts continue.
